Auroville Awards
Purpose
To appreciate and recognize the work of people who have served Auroville exceptionally and / promoted things Auroville stands for.
Explanation
Sri Aurobindo: The world has begun to prove that the great men where not great which is a great mistake. If greatness is not appreciated by men, the world will become small, doll, narrow and tamsic. (while replying to a young disciple).
Following awards have been envisioned by Aryadeep S. Acharya
Auroville the Soul of Humanity Award (to those who have directly and significantly served the cause of Auroville in humanity as a whole)
Auroville the Soul of India Award (to those who have served to bring to the fore the soul of India by taking recourse from Auroville vision, ideas, ideals and inspiration and worldview)
Auroville Mobility Award (to those who have made significant contribution to the development of appropriate Auroville mobility based on the clues offered by The Mother)
Auroville Best Community Award (to those Auroville communities that strive to live up to its name and maintain high parameters of community life in Auroville.
It has to be looked into which individual will give which award and how to select the awardees.
