Auro Seminar – A bi-annual journal
Purpose
To formulate a question relevant to the contemporary times or on an intriguing topic and then invite the dedicated students/scholars of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother to provide their research/knowledge / insights on that question or topic and then to publish them in a bi-annual journal for the joy and enrichment and illumination and further studies by all interested individuals

Numerous futurists and intellectuals are asserting that the advent of Artificial Intelligence and the convergence of new technologies will reshape the world. In August 1965, when asked about her views about the progress of science and technology in India, the Mother replied:
“Its only use is to make the material basis stronger, completer and more effective for the manifestation of the Spirit.” (Ref. CWTM V.15. p. 362)
This single sentence answer could be the starting point of many deeper studies, many revelations in the light of Sri Aurobindo & The Mother that can enrich our understanding and help form right approach to science and emerging disruptive or transformative technologies.
So this could be one of the topics for the proposed bi-annual journal.

More than a decade ago, a Pakistani lady asked me that her grandfather was killed in a terrorist attack in a place of worship. What are Sri Aurobindo’s and The Mother’s view on such horrific incidents?
I replied what I knew at that point in time and also asked another studious disciple to write his answers. However, I feel that terrorism and violence can be topic on which many scholars of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother can be asked to deepen their studies and submit their research for the publication in the proposed bilingual magazine.

The Mother spoke extensively with a French disciple and writer Satprem about her attempts and experiences at the cellular level of her body in context of the physical transformation of the body. Then, in November 1973, she left her body. This was quite tormenting thing for Satprem. Then, as he at the close of The Mother’s Agenda, he said, he had the most extraordinary experience of his life:

Then she lifted me in her arms. She lifted me above my headache, lifted me above that crowd, above all those meaningless little bodies. And I was in a sound-burst. I entered a stupendous peal of bells – vast as the universe, exceeding all universes, all lives, all bodies, and yet WITHIN – A colossal ringing that swept away the worlds, swept away the pains, swept away the whys and the hows; I was one with that formidable SOUND ringing over the universe:
NO OBSTACLE, NOTHING WILL STOP
NO OBSTACLE, NOTHING WILL STOP
NO OBSTACLE, NOTHING WILL STOP …
… ringing and ringing. The whole world was ringing in a torrent of rapturous, irresistible, triumphant joy. NOTHING WILL STOP…. It was the inevitable new world.
