Kalpana Shakti Yoga (KSY)
(Power of imagination for a better you)
Purpose
To present to the world by means of internet what Aryadeep S. Acharya feels as his addition to the existing yoga of asana drawing ideas and images from Sri Aurobindo’s and the Mother’s vision of future of life
Explanation
Kalpana is a Sanskrit word meaning Imagination.
Shakti is also a Sanskrit work which broadly mean Strength / Energy / Power.
Yoga is a Sanskrit word for union with the divine or the higher levels of consciousness.
Thus, Kalpana Shakti Yoga means union with the divine or the higher levels of consciousness through the power of imagination.
Over the years, Aryadeep has found out that combining specific imaginations with specific body movements and postures, especially what is known as the yoga-asanas, facilitates significantly to better health, better sleep, better sense of psychological well-being and a sense of youthfulness. It could well be regarded as a form of dynamic meditation or integral meditation.
So far, he has made 12 such combinations. His idea is to share these with the world, with all those who practice yoga-asana and those who want to benefit from these. He will be creating a special website for this.
Other practitioners of the KSY can then invent and present new combinations with new body movements, new body postures, and other yoga-asanas.
It goes without saying that in the writings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, the topic of imagination has been dwelt in a great and comprehensive detail. These will be posted on the proposed website.
Present status
Hopefully the website will be launched during 2024
