Aryadeep has been an Aurovilian since 1990 and has worked both as a researcher-writer promoting the City of Dawn, and as Auroville’s leader for land fundraising. He started the difficult job of awareness-creation for the harmonious development of Auroville more nearly thirty years ago, and never stopped. In 1998, he started the Land Fund newsletter and managed the Land Fund in the company of other Aurovilians, which included the Million Donor Campaign between 2000 and 2004. Over the years, this helped Auroville acquire a large area of land in various parts of the City and the Greenbelt.  When others gave up, he carried on. After he and I started the Acres for Auroville collaboration in 2014, he and I have worked non-stop, with Aryadeep holding the chief role in Auroville, resulting in 66 plots purchased in the past 10 years. Always hardworking, always modest, a man of honor and ethics, a sincere sadhak, Aryadeep is the major motivator and an inspiring bridge to Auroville for The Mother’s Dream and Sri Aurobindo’s vision in action. It is thanks to Aryadeep’s force of character and the trust he inspires that many people offer to Auroville what they can. We can all be extremely grateful to Aryadeep for his non-stop dedication to Auroville’s growth and prestige. Most recently, in 2025, under the banner of Aryadeep Vision Foundation, Aryadeep has taken up the task of materializing numerous great potentialities he sees in Auroville through numerous creative ideas and undertakings. I am wholeheartedly with him in this journey and wish and pray for the Aryadeep Vision Foundation to emerge as a great long-lasting success in fulfilling its lofty dreams and mission.
